Tristan Mayglothling

I am a founding member of the Team Research Lab. My particular research interests are the coach-athlete relationship, culture in elite sport, and ethical coaching in performance sport programmes. I studied for a BSc (Hons) in Sports Coaching and an MSc in Professional Practice in Sports Coaching from the University of Gloucestershire. In October 2019 I started a PhD at University of Essex studying Sport and Exercise Psychology with particular research interest in Ethics of Sports Coaching in Elite Environments.
Alongside studying, I coach school rowing and have coached internationally for Great Britain and Denmark alongside national performance roles in the UK and Australia. I have co-authored a book (Mayglothling & Mayglothling, 2015) on rowing titled Rowing and Sculling: Skills. Training. Techniques.
