Kyran Clements

I am a founding member of the Team Research Lab and a current MSD student at the University of Essex. My main topic of research is coaching effectiveness and my work is currently focusing on developing a youth coaching effectiveness scale and investigating the influence of coaching effectiveness longitudinally in youth academy football.
I graduated from the University of Essex in 2019 with a first class honours degree in Sport and Exercise Science (BSc). I have previously completed a Level 3 NVQ Diploma in ‘Supporting the Delivery of Physical Education & School Sport’, and a BTEC Level 3 Award in ‘Employment Awareness in Active Leisure and Learning’.
Away from research, I am a semi-professional footballer for Braintree Town FC, who enjoys spending time in the gym, watching films, and exploring the globe. I am also a self-declared juggling extraordinaire. My aim is to produce relevant and meaningful research, having a positive impact on those within and outside of the Lab.
