I am one of the founding members of the Team Research Lab. I split my time between working in the lab for a PhD (part-time) and working as the Head of Player Analysis Training at Football Radar (full-time). My research focuses on talent identification practices in football. From this, I aim to develop a greater understanding of the psychological make-up and decision-making practices of scouts and coaches in talent identification.
Previously, I achieved a master’s with distinction in sports coaching, an undergraduate degree in sports development, and multiple industry qualifications, including: PFSA and FA awards in Talent Identification, and a UEFA B license in coaching football. I have developed extensive applied experience working within football analysis, talent identification, sports coaching, and sports development industries.
I believe all research should have a practical application and I want to use my position in the lab to conduct interesting research that can make a positive difference in and outside of sport.
